The Pearl to Stage NO EXIT, 2/25-3/30

The Pearl Theatre Company continues its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with a new production of No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre, adapted from the French by Paul Bowles. Linda Ames Key, making her Pearl debut, directs this touchstone of French existentialism in its first Off-Broadway production in over 15 years. The cast includes Pearl Resident Acting Company (RAC) member Jolly Abraham as Inez and Pearl RAC member Branford Cover as Cradeau along with Sameerah Luqmaan-Harris as Estelle and Pete McGilligot as Valet.

Jeffrey Bean, Elizabeth Bunch and More to Star in World Premiere of Theresa Rebeck's FOOL at Alley Theatre; Cast Announced!

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for the world premiere of a new comedy by Theresa Rebeck, Fool. In Rebeck's new comedy, two kings get together and place a wager on their fools - a jester competition, and the funniest one gets to keep his head. Two evil minions have a lot to say about this, but not as much as the kitchen wench. And what's the queen been up to all night? A dramatical comical farcical tragical play about power, love and laughter, set in a medieval kitchen. Adult Language, Adult Situations, Beheadings.

Full Cast and Creatives Announced for Yale Rep's THESE PAPER BULLETS!

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE presents the world premiere of THESE PAPER BULLETS!, a modish ripoff of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, adapted by Rolin Jones, with songs by Billie Joe Armstrong, and directed by Jackson Gay, March 14-April 5 at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, March 20.

Emma Wisniewski Joins Cast of SOUPS, STEWS, AND CASSEROLES: 1976 at The Rep

Actress Emma Wisniewski, a Queens native and graduate of NYU-Tisch, will join the cast of award-winning playwright Rebecca Gilman's Soups, Stews and Casseroles: 1976, a world-premiere play commissioned for the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Rehearsals begin in St. Louis on February 18th, and the play runs March 12th-30th.

On Saturday, December 7, TheatreWorks opened the Broadway musical 'Little Women' to an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd in Palo Alto, CA. After the performance, attendees emerged into the courtyard of the Lucie Stern Theatre to find snow - make with theatre magic! - followed by a champagne reception and meet-and-greet with the cast. In his first play written for an ensemble of actors, McNally celebrates the classics, acting companies and The Pearl itself.

Directed by David Staller, Candida featured Tony Award nominees Judy Kuhn (Candida) and Douglas Sills (Morell), with Brandon J. Vukovic (a recent Brown/Trinity grad) as Marchbanks, Alison Cimmet (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Prossy, Bill Kux (The Trip to Bountiful) as Burgess, Jordan Coughtry (Shakespeare Theatre of NJ Our Town) as Lexy. The romantic comedy Parfumerie, adapted by E.P. Dowdall from the Hungarian play Illatszertar by Miklos Laszlo, will have a rare revival as the first theater production of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (Lou Moore, Executive Director), for a limited, 29 performance engagement November 26 to December 22. The production, directed by Mark Brokaw, who is currently represented on Broadway with Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, centers on a romance that unfolds through love letters, a perfect homage to the historic Beverly Hills Post Office. Richard Easton, Michael Cumpsty & Alison Fraser Star in Project Shaw's DON JUAN IN HELL Today at Symphony Space

The debut Shaw play to inaugurate Project Shaw's new home will be Shaw's Don Juan in Hell today, October 28 at 7pm. Directed by David Staller, Don Juan in Hell stars Tony Award winner Richard Easton (The Statue), Tony Award nominees Michael Cumpsty (The Devil) and Alison Fraser (Dona Ana) with Max Gordon Moore (Don Juan). The evening is hosted by Robert Osborne of Turner Classic Movies. There will be special performances by Tony Award winner George S. Irving and Tony Award nominee Charlotte Rae, with Beth Ertz on the piano.
