Features show built for the huge stage with many local talents

Grease is the word at Starlight Theatre now through Thursday, Sept. 14. The beloved musical that features 1950s' high school romance and rock 'n' roll will cruise across the Starlight stage like Greased Lightnin' for six performances, opening on Friday night, Sept. 8 and continuing through Sept. 14.

Toby's Dinner Theatre has a long history of presenting high quality productions. However, could they pull off the technicolor vision of The Wizard Of Oz that most people see in their mind's eye? Happily for the audience, answer is yes.

It's holiday time in Washington, DC with so many gorgeous decorations adorning our Nation's Capital. Our local theatres are booming with new productions and there are holiday tree lightings, concerts, recitals and sing-alongs all through the DC area. Toby's of Baltimore recently kicked off the holiday season with their rendition of Irving Berlin's 'White Christmas,' perhaps best remembered as the 1954 movie starring Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and Danny Kaye.

The fall temperatures may be getting colder, but the DC area theatre scene is heating up with many musicals, including a new "intimate" production of a 1927 American classic, a Tony-Award Winning family saga, and so many choices - well - take a look for yourself at what this diverse theatre community has to offer in November. This is a great time to celebrate the upcoming holidays with your family, so bring the kids, grandparents, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins to see that Orphan girl and her dog, a Disney heroine, and enjoy an early Christmas, and many more shows to bring in the cheer and joy of the holiday season. We have so much to be thankful for this month, so come to our nation's capital and celebrate the joy of theatre with us!
