BWW Review: TWILIGHT SONG, Park Theatre

When we think of Kevin Elyot, one of the first things that comes to mind is his magnificent 1994 comedy My Night with Reg, a touching play about gay lives revived at the Donmar Warehouse in 2015. Elyot's first play, Coming Clean, is about to be staged at The King's Head in a week's time, and now his final play, Twilight Song, receives its long-awaited premiere at Park Theatre.

Originally commissioned by the Iford Arts Festival, this limited five-week season is the London premiere and the first ever pub opera production of Mozart's fantastical tale.

BWW Review: MADAM BUTTERFLY, King's Head Theatre

The wonderful thing about fringe theatre is the variety and quality of what can be produced in a tiny space, with very little budget. Creativity is key to make an audience return to what is essentially the back room of a pub with slightly uncomfortable seating. Madam Butterfly is the latest creative offering from the King's Head Theatre, who has a well-known reputation for producing innovative and unique shows in such a room.

BWW Reviews: HOPE, Royal Court Theatre, December 2 2014

The festive period is usually a time when we're told to look towards the future and forget about all of our troubles. The title Hope may be misleading for many, but the latest play by Jack Thorne to be staged at the Royal Court is a political production set around a group of Labour councillors struggling to deal with the financial strain currently being imposed upon local government.

Rudi Dharmalingam, Sharon Duncan-Brewster & More to Star in HOPE at the Royal Court

Casting is announced today for Hope, BAFTA-winning writer Jack Thorne's first original play to be staged at the Royal Court. Hope follows Thorne's success with Glue and This is England '86 and reunites him with director John Tiffany after their celebrated production Let the Right One In, which transferred to the West End earlier this year.
