Following multiple Olivier Award nominations, John Tiffany's The Glass Menagerie enters its final weeks at Duke of York's Theatre with the last performance to be held on Saturday 29th April 2017. stufffOn this day in 2015, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren returned to Broadway with a stunning portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan's The Audience, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry. The production nabbed two Tony Awards, one for Mirren in the Leading Actress in a Play category and the other for Featured Actor in a Play, taken home by Richard McCabe for his portrayal of Harold Wilson.

Kapuscinski's 1978 book has been adapted by Colin Teevan into an extraordinary showcase for the talents of quicksilver quick-change artist Kathryn Hunter, who transforms into a dozen different characters with the aid of nothing more than a cane, hat or set of epaulettes.

The boys were cast following nationwide auditions and after months of intensive rehearsals began alternating in the role following the show's opening earlier in the year. Billy Elliot the musical opens at The Bristol Hippodrome on Tuesday 25thOctober and runs until Saturday 26th November 2016.
