The world's largest solo theatre festival celebrates its fifth anniversary this upcoming season, with over 130 solo productions set to be presented at Theatre Row on 42nd Street between September 18 - November 23, 2014. Today we are saluting one of Broadway's best-loved leading ladies in honor of her new cabaret show kicking off this week at 54 Below, the one and only Patti LuPone.

Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem-or get rich trying. Written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark, BAD WITH MONEY premieres at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) from September 4 through November 6.

UP Comedy Club is known for bringing the best stand-up comedy talent in the country to Chicago. This fall's line-up features many of the best-known names in comedy, including UP favorites Kyle Kinane and Greg Proops, returning to the UP stage once again after countless sold-out shows. Also returning to UP are Nick Thune, Moshe Kasher and Dana Gould. Appearing at UP for the first time are Bridget Everett and Dave Hill, Judah Friedlander, Jeff Ross, Yannis Pappas, Jerrod Carmichael and Todd Glass. Each show includes a feature stand-up comic and a local emcee who hosts the evening.

Alice Ripley won a Tony Award for her leading role in the Pulitzer Prize winning musical "Next to Normal," and was a Tony-nominee for the musical "Side Show" on Broadway. This summer, on August 2 and 3 at 7:00 PM, she joins the star-studded lineup of the celebrated Broadway @ The Art House series, with Jessica Means joining her at piano. In an evening, conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman, LuPone will perform an eclectic collection of torch songs by songwriters including Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn,Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. Don Heckman of The Los Angeles Times described the show as 'a beautifully paced, marvelously delivered torch-song exploration of the pleasures and pains of love; LuPone's remarkable, larger-than-life qualities and stunning musicality are distilled into the pure essence of her art.' SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky will host and music direct a benefit concert at 42West on Sunday August 24th called Not Since High School. The concert, which will begin at 7:30, will showcase Broadway performers singing the classic roles they played as teens while wearing braces and/or breaking out.
