Bailiwick Chicago Theater is pleased to launch its 2012/13 season with the rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, book by Alex Timbers, directed by Scott Ferguson, music direction by James Morehead* and choreography by Christopher Pazdernik*, playing October 4 - November 10, 2012 at National Pastime Theater, 941 W. Lawrence Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are available at bailiwickchicago.com. All performances are BYOB, with the house opening one hour prior to curtain. The press performances are Monday, October 8 at 7:30 pm & Thursday, October 11 at 8 pm.

Chicago's non-Equity Bohemian Theatre Ensemble has undertaken Adam Guettel and Tina Landau's 1996 off-Broadway masterpiece (or close to it) and put it on at Theater Wit on West Belmont Avenue for the next month (through July 25, 2012). If you have imagination enough to meet the company halfway, somewhere between the hardscrabble Kentucky soil and the cave beneath it where the real Floyd Collins met his doom in 1925, you will come away with a musical and theatrical experience you are unlikely to repeat anytime soon, anywhere else.

Bay Street Theatre's new educational program, LITERATURE LIVE!, kicked off with THE DIARY OF Anne Frank, playing now through November 21. The show runs weekdays at various times (to accommodate school groups) and Saturday evenings at 7pm. All shows are open to the public, as well as to groups from schools, churches and synagogues. Tickets are $10 and $15.

Bay Street Theatre is thrilled to announce the premiere production of its new educational program, LITERATURE LIVE!, which kicks off with THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, playing November 9-21. The show will run weekdays at various times (to accommodate school groups) and Saturday evenings at 7pm. All shows are open to the public, as well as to groups from schools, churches and synagogues. Tickets are $10 and $15.
