The Buck Creek Players will wrap up their 39th season 'In the Spotlight' with their fifth biennial Play-A-Part Fundraiser of the hit musical, OKLAHOMA!, sponsored in part by The Friends of Sue Leavell. Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company will produce five works, including a special, student-devised production, a rock musical and a famous Irish play, in the 2013-2014 season. The season begins Oct. 18 and runs through April 19, 2014.

Aurora Theatre returns for a seventh year to Lawrenceville's Prelude event featuring a Broadway classic musical and Fireworks -- FREE on the lawn of the Lawrenceville Historic Courthouse on Wednesday July 3, 2013. This year Aurora Theatre presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific. Well known for its extraordinary score, the songs include Some Enchanted Evening, Younger Than Springtime, Bali Ha'i,There Is Nothin' Like A Dame, and I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair.

The fact that Carmen Souza and Theo Pas'cal complement each other musically in an ingenious way has already been shown in their successful cooperation over the last few years. The latest studio-album called Kachupada, that was recorded in London and Lisbon to be released in June 2013, continues this tradition. The title of the album was inspired by the favorite Cape Verdean dish Kachupada that, with its wide variety of ingredients and spices, reflects the multiplicity of influences in Carmen Souza's music.

CINDERELLA -- the Rodgers + Hammerstein musical now at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) -- played its 100th performance on Wednesday evening, May 29. The cast celebrated with a cake from Carlo's Bakery, home of TV's 'Cake Boss.' The musical began previews on January 25 and had its official opening night on March 3. Written for CBS-TV in 1957, this production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA marks the musical's first-eve Broadway production, now in its 5th month of performances. The Tony-nominated stars of the Broadway musical Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA -- Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (the Prince) --will host the 5th Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) on Monday, July 1 at the Minskoff Theater on Broadway. Student winners from 31 regional awards will compete in the national event for the Jimmy Awards, named after Broadway theater owner and producer James M. ("Jimmy") Nederlander.
