If It Only Even Runs A Minute 11 is the eleventh edition of the Bistro Award-winning series of rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales, and inspiring photos from Broadway musicals that may not have been fully appreciated the first time around. The most recent show featured a cast reunion of the entire original cast of Maltby & Shire's Starting Here, Starting Now: Loni Ackerman, George Lee Andrews, and Margery Cohen, who shared stories about creating the show and singing numbers that they originated in 1977. Roosevelt Theatre Announces 2013-14 Performances

The Midwest premiere of Ripper, a romantic thriller based loosely on the case of murders by Jack the Ripper, will be one of the highlights of the 2013-2014 performance season announced this month by the Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University.

Tenor Anthony Kearns Receives Standing Ovation at the 2013 Friends of Ireland Lunch

On March 19, 2013, Tenor Anthony Kearns, founding member of the popular group, The Irish Tenors, performed at the 2013 Friends of Ireland Lunch at the U.S. Capitol as the guest of Speaker of the House John Boehner. Special guests included President Barack Obama, Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Enda Kenny, members of Congress, and dignitaries from Ireland and the United Kingdom.

STAGE TUBE: On This Day 4/5- THE PIRATE QUEEN

Today in 2007, The Pirate Queen opened at the Hilton Theatre (now the FoxwoodsTheatre), where it ran for 85 performances. The Pirate Queen is a musical written by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil, best known for their adaptation of Les Miserables. It is based on the life and adventures of the 16th century Irish chieftain and pirate Grainne O'Malley, who was one of the last Irish clan leaders to resist the English conquest of Gaelic Ireland. The cast featured Stephanie J. Block as the title character and Linda Balgord, who was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I.

Perseverance Theatre Stages Benefit Reading of Dustin Lance Black's '8' Tonight

Perseverance Theatre, with license from the American Foundation for Equal Rights, (AFER) and Broadway Impact, announces a one-night-only staged reading of '8,' at 7 pm tonight, April 1 at Centennial Hall in Juneau. The funds raised at this benefit performance will be shared by Perseverance Theatre, Juneau Pride Chorus, and the Pride Foundation.
