Imagination Stage's Speak Out On Stage Ensemble will perform Fantatics, a musical devised by students in grades 4 through 6, May 29-31, 2015 in the Christopher and Dana Reeve Theatre. Fantatics is conceived by members of the Speak Out On Stage (SOOS) Ensemble, and is written by Jack Novak with original music by Alex Abdoulaev.
Out of more than 58 films that Alfred Hitchcock directed in his lifetime, "Vertigo" stands out as one of the best for its suspense, innovative camera use and haunting memorable score, making it an ideal choice for Pacific Symphony Pops to reinvigorate by performing the soundtrack live! During a symphonic night at the movies, the colorfully enhanced 1958 film plays on the big screen as Bernard Herrmann's hypnotic score is recreated by the orchestra, led by Principal Pops Conductor Richard Kaufman. Set in the hustle and bustle of San Francisco in the late 1950s, the romantic thriller stars James Stewart and Kim Novak, who were both praised for their performances. (Stewart won multiple awards for his role.) Driven by the motif of obsession, the film follows the life of retired detective John "Scottie" Ferguson, who suffers from a fear of heights and vertigo. After being reengaged to follow his friend's wife, Ferguson begins to fall dangerously in love with her.
Bergen County Players is thrilled to present the final mainstage production of its 2014-2015 season of shows, the 2009 Tony Award-winning play, God of Carnage, written by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Alyson Cohn. God of Carnage will open on May 2, 2015 and run through Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell (no performances Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24). The New York Times described Carnage as '[a] streamlined anatomy of the human animal... [The play] delivers the cathartic release of watching otherpeople's marriages go boom.'

Gina D'Arco and Taylor Novak will lead the cast of William Inge's Picnic, in a revival of the classic play helmed by Jeffrey Ellis, for Nashville's Circle Players, which this season celebrates its 65th year of bringing live theater to audiences throughout Middle Tennessee. Picnic will run tonight, March 27 through April 4, and will be performed at the theater at Hillsboro High School.
