The final performances of 'Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine,' Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage's social satire, and a jazz concert that celebrates the music of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, are just two of the Evanston campus events at Northwestern University celebrating Black History Month.

Writers Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman and directed by Kimberly Senior. The show runs February 24 - June 28, 2015 at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. The Press Openings are Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5, 2015.

Porchlight Music Theatre presents the second production in its 20th Anniversary Season of Sondheim, the Chicago premiere of Sondheim on Sondheim, beginning tonight, February 6, and running through March 15, 2015, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived by James Lapine, direction by Nick Bowling with music direction by Porchlight Artistic Associate Austin Cook at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.

The Old Globe's West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, will now play an extra week of performances -- through March 22 -- due to ticket demand for the originally announced run. Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ("Barney Miller," The Rothschilds) leads a cast of Broadway and Globe veterans including Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, and Lowell Byers. The Twenty-seventh Man will run February 14 through March 22 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run February 14-18. Opening night is Thursday, February 19 at 8:00 p.m.

The performances feature Strauss's Metamorphosenfor 23 Solo Strings, Oboe Concerto in D major, and Don Quixote, Op. 35. Philippe Treuille's Requiem will receive its world premiere tonight, January 30th, 2015, at 8:00 PM, at the Church of the Incarnation, in New York City. The 9-movement work is the first large-scale work by the NYC-based, Juilliard-trained composer, and will feature 50 performers from the Symphony Chorus, conducted by maestro Henric Idestrom. The hour-long Requiem blends traditional and modern compositional techniques, with a choir of 28 including 4 soloists and a 22-piece orchestra. The text is drawn entirely from the original Latin Mass for the dead.

The Dolphin Show, America's largest student-produced musical, announces TITANIC as the 73rd Annual Dolphin Show. TITANIC is to be directed by Communication senior Brendan Flynn and produced by Communication senior Jack Eidson and School of Education and Social Policy senior Izzy Garcia, with support from a cast and team of over 150 Northwestern University students. TITANIC will run for five performances from tonight, January 23rd through January 30th in Cahn Auditorium.
