Single Room Occupancy, a new pop/rock comedy musical will be presented as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival on August 14, 17, 20, 21 and 27. Written by and starring popular theatre, film and television actor Ben Rauch (HBO's Girls, Jersey Boys-The Movie, Gossip Girl), Single Room Occupancy has lyrics by Gaby Gold, Rory Scholl, and Ben Rauch, set design by You-Shin Chen, lighting design by Suzanne Immarigeon, sound design by Joshua D. Reid, choreography by Jebbel Arce, musical direction by Noriko Sunamoto and will be directed by Joey Murray. The musical will run at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre at Culture Project (Venue #13), 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette) for five shows only.
The hit off-Broadway Comedy, The Jackie Mason Musical currently running in its fifth year at St. Luke's Theatre (306 W. 46 & 8th Ave) will have its final performance of July 22nd at 2 pm and will be reopening at The Davenport Theatre (354 W. 45th & 8th Ave) on Saturday, August 8th at 8pm, followed by a 2pm matinee Sunday, August 9th.
Following a successful run in The Midtown Children's Musical Theater Festival, RAPUNZARELLA WHITE will re-open at 13th Street Repertory Theater (50 West 13th St. between 5th & 6th Ave) beginning today, January 24th and will run Saturdays at 11am and 1pm through May 9th, 2015. Written by June Rachelson-Ospa (Triangle, currently at 13th St. Rep) and Daniel Neiden (Tempest-The Musical at Cherry Lane Theater).
