Amos Lee to Make Segerstrom Center Debut With Amy Helm and The Handsome Strangers, 8/6

Singer and songwriter Amos Lee will make his Segerstrom Center for the Arts debut on Wednesday, August 6 at 8 p.m. in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall as part of the second leg of his 2014 Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song Tour. His recent fall and winter headline tour included sold-out shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, ACL Live in Austin and the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Lee will be joined by band members, Freddie Berman, drums; Zach Djanikian, mandolin; Annie Clements, bass and vocals; Andy Keenan, guitar, banjo and vocals; and Jaron Olevsky, keyboards.

VERONIC VOICES Returns to Bally's Las Vegas, Launches New Fundraising Campaign

Vocal impressionist Veronic DiCaire will resume her residency at Bally's Las Vegas with the launch of "Lend Your Voice," a monthly awareness-building and fundraising effort for selected local nonprofits. Each month, Veronic will partner with a worthy cause and encourage audience donations by providing information on each of their missions during her performances at the Jubilee Theater.

Dianne Reeves to Headline 4th Annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival, 6/20-22

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will present the fourth annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival (PJLIF) on June 20-22, 2014. PJLIF will consist of three days of free jazz and jazz-influenced musical performances on outdoor stages throughout downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District. PJLIF attracts more than 20,000 attendees from around the country. The Festival features local, emerging, and national and international musicians in a variety of performance settings, including outdoor performance stages and indoor performance locations within local restaurants, coffee shops and galleries.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust celebrates National Jazz Appreciation Month throughout April 2014 with performances by Grammy Award-winning musicians and iconic jazz performers. In addition to the special ticketed performances at Cabaret at Theater Square, the Trust continues its free BNY Mellon | Jazz Presents JazzLive series at Backstage Bar.

New Jersey Jazz Society to Present The Bria Skonberg Quartet, Feat. Tia Fuller and Nicki Parrott, 3/30

Triple threat bandleader BRIA SKONBERG will be showcasing her trumpet, vocal and compositional talents at the Mayo Performing Arts Center on Sunday March 30th. In 2013 she earned a Jazz Journalists' Association nomination for "Up and Coming Jazz Artist of The Year" and is included in DOWNBEAT Magazine's Rising Star Critics' Poll. She has recently been honored with a New York Bistro Award for "Outstanding Jazz Artist". Best known for her knowledge of classic jazz and instigative nature, she is creating an adventurous style rooted in New Orleans jazz and blues, pop, soul and cabaret. One review states, 'I was kind of thinking Norah Jones, Diana Krall but with a dose of the bubbly.'

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Announces Music Headliners for 55th ANNUAL DOLLAR BANK THREE RIVERS ARTS FESTIVAL, 6/6-15

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces a distinguished list of music headliners to be presented at the 55th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The 10-day celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is unlike any other in the nation. The world-class, multi-disciplinary festival is free to attend and is open to the public. Stockton Symphony Presents CLASSIC IV Concert Tonight

DCINY to Present THE DROP OF DAWN, Featuring the Music of Grammy Award-Winning Composer Christopher Tin, 4/13

DCINY expands its collaboration with innovative young composer and two-time Grammy Award- winner Christopher Tin with an exhilarating night of Tin's music at Carnegie Hall. The Drop of Dawn on Sunday, April 13 at 8:30 pm, unites two large-scale, multi-lingual choral and orchestral works: the world premiere of The Drop That Contained The Sea, and a performance of Tin's acclaimed Calling All Dawns, whose opening movement, "Baba Yetu," made history as the first piece of music written for a video game to win a Grammy Award. Performing with the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra and Singers International, which features outstanding choruses chosen from across the US, Canada and England, and conducted by DCINY Artistic Director Jonathan Griffith, is an array of spectacular singers and world music artists including mezzo-sopranos Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek (of Anonymous 4) and Charity Dawson, tenor Saum Eskandani, Indian Classical vocalist Roopa Mahadevan, Mongolian pop star Nominjin, and Portuguese fado singer Nathalie Pires.
