Producer Eva Price is proud to announce that the critically acclaimed play Small Mouth Sounds, written by Bess Wohl and directed by Obie Award-winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812), will launch a national tour beginning this fall at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) announced today a final extension for HADESTOWN, a new folk opera written by celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and developed with and directed by the inventive three-time OBIE award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (The Royale; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812). HADESTOWN will now play additional performances through Sunday, July 31, 2016. Previews for HADESTOWN began Friday, May 6, 2016, and officially opened on Monday, May 23, 2016 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003).

Directed by Obie Award-winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812), Small Mouth Sounds begins previews for a commercial run at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street) on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 7:30pm, with an official opening night set for Wednesday, July 13, 2016. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) and FABnyc will co-present a live show with the popular public radio show and podcast Person Place Thing with writer and humorist Randy Cohen, featuring HADESTOWN's celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and inventive two-time Obie award-winning director Rachel Chavkin at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003) on Monday, June 6 at 7:00 pm. Rajiv Joseph's Guards at the Taj, produced by the Atlantic Theater Company, received the Obie Award® for Best New American Play, which is accompanied by a $1,000 prize. Legendary actor/dancer/choreographer Carmen de Lavallade and renowned playwright A.R. Gurney each received a special Obie Award® for Lifetime Achievement. Obie and Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria returned as host of this year's ceremony, which was held at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street).
