Today, The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports that THE BOOK OF MORMON will open at the Prince of Wales Theatre in March of 2013. Casting is set to begin shortly in the UK.

Freedom to Marry, the campaign to win marriage nationwide, will host a Valentine's Day fundraising event with the Interbank Roundtable called "Get Engaged!" at XL Nightclub on Thursday, February 16. The party will include a VIP cocktail reception from 5-6 pm with special guests including Tony© Winners Audra McDonald of Porgy and Bess, and Nikki M. James of Book of Mormon, along with Nick Adams of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rory O'Malley of Book of Mormon, and Max won Essen of Evita. New York Assembly Member Daniel J. O'Donnell, who helped lead the marriage bill to passage in the Assembly, will also attend.

Today, Deadline.com revealed that the show has been greenlit by NBC, adding that the series now has a title: 'The New Normal.'

MCC THEATER has just announced another all-star line-up for the company's highly anticipated annual gala, to be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street). Miscast 2012 will honor the creators of Carrie, Academy Award-winning composer Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), Academy Award-winning lyricist Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose) and Writer Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film, Carrie) for their bold, daring, risk-taking spirit. Funds raised from Miscast help MCC Theater produce some of the most talked-about new work Off Broadway and support their Youth Company and in-school partnerships that serve New York City public high school students, as well as their literary development work with emerging playwrights.

THE BOOK OF MORMON's original principal cast, Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Nikki M. James, Rory O'Malley, Michael Potts, along with Lewis Cleale and Brian Tyree Henry, have extended their contracts with the Tony Award-winning musical through February 2013. THE BOOK OF MORMON will celebrate its first year on Broadway on February 24, 2012.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Denver Center Attractions have confirmed today that show show sold out its three-week engagement within 5 hours after tickets went on sale yesterday, January 24 at 10am. THE BOOK OF MORMON will play the Ellie Caulkins Opera House from August 14 -September 2, 2012. Following the Denver engagement, THE BOOK OF MORMON tour will play the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles for a twelve week run from September 18 through November 25, 2012. Tickets for the Los Angeles engagement will go on sale soon.
