Jane Kaczmarek Reprises Role in KINDERTRANSPORT at L.A. Theatre Works, Now thru 6/23

Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), reprising the role she created for the U.S premiere at the Manhattan Theatre Club and for which she won an Ovation award in the L.A. premiere, and Susan Sullivan (Dharma and Greg, Castle) head the cast when Jeanie Hackett directs Kindertransport by Diane Samuelsfor L.A. Theatre Works. All performances will be recorded live in front of an audience (without sets or costumes) to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

Following a highly successful national tour, a new stage adaptation of Charles Dickens's Great Expectations will open in London's West End at the Vaudeville Theatre on Wednesday 6 February 2013, following previews from 1 February. Although it is Dickens's most popular novel (Guardian Poll 2012) and having previously had many incarnations, including as a film, a television drama and even a stage musical, this will be the first time there has ever been a production of GREAT EXPECTATIONS as a full-scale stage play in either the West End or on Broadway.

The Lark Play Development Center in collaboration with Mexico's National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) has announced the 2012 U.S./Mexico Playwright Exchange Program. For the seventh year, the Lark will host playwrights from Mexico and pair them with U.S. playwrights, actors, and directors for a ten day cultural exploration which establishes ongoing channels of communication between artists in both countries. This year's exchange is presented in partnership with Mexican Cultural Institute.
