English Touring Theatre Brings THE ODYSSEY: MISSING PRESUMED DEAD to Exeter Northcott Tonight

English Touring Theatre return to the Exeter Northcott Theatre at the end of November (tonight 24-28 Nov 2015), this time with THE ODYSSEY: MISSING PRESUMED DEAD, their acclaimed collaboration with Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse. Full Cast Set for World Premiere of THE ODYSSEY: MISSING PRESUMED DEAD

English Touring Theatre and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse today announce the full cast for the world premiere of their co-production of The Odyssey: Missing Presumed Dead. The production reunites Simon Armitage and Nick Bagnall after their recent collaborations on The Last Days of Troy and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Nick Bagnall directs Lee Armstrong, Simon Dutton, Roger Evans, Polly Frame, David Hartley, Ranjit Krishnamma, Chris Reilly, Sule Rimi, Danusia Samal, Colin Tierney and Susie Trayling.

Everyman & Playhouse to Present HAMMER, THE ODYSSEY & More This Autumn

Autumn 2015 will see the Everyman & Playhouse collaborating with some of the greatest theatre makers in the country. The season begins with Simon Armitage's The Odyssey: Missing Presumed Dead, directed by Associate Director Nick Bagnall, a co-production with English Touring Theatre.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK's Danielle Brooks to Make Broadway Debut Opposite Jennifer Hudson & Cynthia Erivo in THE COLOR PURPLE

DANIELLE BROOKS, who plays 'Taystee' on the hit TV show, Orange Is the New Black, will make her Broadway debut as 'Sofia' in the upcoming Broadway musical revival of THE COLOR PURPLE. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Ms. Brooks joins the previously announced JENNIFER HUDSON and CYNTHIA ERIVO in the critically acclaimed staging from London's Menier Chocolate Factory.

EDUCATING RITA, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM & More Set for Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres' Upcoming Season

A major revival of Willy Russell's Educating Rita will open the Playhouse's 2015 Spring Season. The production, directed by Artistic Director Gemma Bodinetz, will mark the play's 35th anniversary and will star Leanne Best as Rita and Con O'Neill as Frank. Following a remarkable first year, the Everyman season will begin with Associate Director Nick Bagnall's fresh take on A Midsummer Night's Dream. The second half of the season is marked by two world premieres, both screen to stage adaptations; a never-before seen Arthur Miller screenplay The Hook at the Everyman and the first ever stage adaptation of a Coen Brothers' film will see The Hudsucker Proxy come to life on the Playhouse stage.

Everyman & Playhouse Names Nick Bagnall as New Associate Director, Lindsey Alvis as Producer

Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse have appointed director Nick Bagnall as their first permanent Associate Director. Bagnall joins the company following the success of The Last Days of Troy at Royal Exchange, Manchester and Shakespeare's Globe. The theatre's artistic team will also be bolstered by the appointment of Lindsey Alvis, who was previously with Headlong, as Producer.

A Finborough Theatre commission, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Michael Hastings' Lee Harvey Oswald - A Far Mean Streak of Independence Brought on by Negleck opens at the Finborough Theatre for a limited season onSunday, 3 November 2013, with an special additional performance on Friday, 22 November at 12.30pm at the exact time of the assassination.

Sheffield Theatres Presents Pinter's BETRAYAL, May 17

Sheffield Theatres presents its debut production of Harold Pinter's masterpiece, BETRAYAL, with John Simm, on the Crucible stage from Thursday 17 May until Saturday 9 June, the culmination of the theatres spring/summer programme.

Further Casting Announced for Sheffield Theatres' BETRAYAL, Summer

Sheffield Theatres today announces further casting for its production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, which takes to the Crucible stage from Thursday 17 May until Saturday 9 June. John Simm, already announced to play the part of Jerry in Pinter's masterpiece, will return to the theatre following his performance as Hamlet in 2010. Joining him are BAFTA Award-winning actress Juliet Aubrey as Emma, and Colin Tierney as Robert.
