Arkansas Repertory Theatre announced today the schedule for free public readings during Voices at the River. The Voices at the River playwrights' residency program is a nationally competitive program designed to support the work of Latino and African American playwrights across the country and in Arkansas.
Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave will return to the New York stage this Fall to star opposite one another in the Broadway Premiere of Alfred Uhry‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy. Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy will begin performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), with an official opening on Monday, October 25, 2010.

The 2010 Summer Gala will honor Lincoln Center Theater Executive Producer and former Public Theater Associate Producer Bernard Gersten and Bank of America. The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre's 50th Anniversary Season opens on June 2nd with the Lyceum premiere of Mel Brooks' The Producers running through June 12. Winner of a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards in 2001 including Best Musical, this musical tells the story of a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer (Max Bialystock), played by Dana Snyder. Dana is returning to the Lyceum stage after a 16 year hiatus during which time he has appeared in many regional theatres from Austin to Cleveland.
