InVersion Theatre is excited to announce IN THE WOODS WE RETURN, presented in August 2015 as a part of FringeNYC.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is now accepting submissions for new musicals for its 2016 Festival. Also announced was the selection of panelists for the 2016 Grand Jury who will help to choose shows for acceptance into the Next Link Project, NYMF's primary writer-service program.

CitySalt Theatricals proudly presents the new musical The Crack in the Ceiling, presented as part of the 19th Annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. Featuring book, music, and lyrics by James Harvey,  directed by Stephen Tyler Davis.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company, in partnership with the University of Memphis' Department of Theatre & Dance, presents its third and final developing musical reading on the University of Memphis mainstage with The Oliver Experiment by Jeremy Desmon and Jeff Thomson tonight, August 15 at 7:00 pm.

Berkeley Rep has announced the full company for its 2015-16 season opener Amelie, A New Musical, starring award-winning actress Samantha Barks.

Single Room Occupancy, a new pop/rock comedy musical will be presented as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival tonight, August 14, 17, 20, 21 and 27.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is thrilled to be the first regional theatre in the country to produce the Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet, on stage August 19 to September 19. This high voltage rock 'n roll show, with book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, is inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording session that brought together music icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for one of the greatest jam sessions of all time. Featuring timeless hits such as 'Blue Suede Shoes,' 'Great Balls of Fire,' 'I Walk the Line,' 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On,' 'Fever,' 'Folsom Prison Blues,' 'Hound Dog' and more, this thrilling musical brings you inside the recording studio with four major talents who came together as a red-hot rock 'n' roll band for one unforgettable night.

Heart and Flame Productions is thrilled to present a World Premiere Pop/Rock Musical, WE ARE THE TIGERS, book, music and lyrics by Rebekah M. Allen, musical direction by Patrick Sulken, choreography by Jacob Brent and directed by Michael Bello. WE ARE THE TIGERS is produced by Matthew P. Hui, Geri Silver and Evan Bernardin. WE ARE THE TIGERS recently completed an artistic residency at New York City's Musical Theatre Factory, where it presented two sold-out workshop performances earlier this month. WE ARE THE TIGERS will preview on Friday, October 2 at 8pm; Saturday, October 3 at 2pm & 8pm; Sunday, October 4 at 7pm; Friday, October 9 at 8pm & Saturday, October 10 at 2pm and will open on Saturday, October 10 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 8 at the Hudson Backstage, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

Truckin' on to the Barn Theatre stage is Rex Smith starring in HANDS ON A HARDBODY! Playing tonight, August 11, through August 23.

 If It Only Even Runs A Minute 15 is the fifteenth edition of the Bistro Award-winning series of rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales, and inspiring photos from underappreciated Broadway and off-Broadway musicals.

The winner of this year's Davenport Songwriting Contest, Zoe Sarnak writes music that crosses genres, blending pop, rock, hip hop and soul. Her music has been featured by The Lilly Awards, New York Musical Theatre Festival and more, and in venues from Playwrights Horizons and New York Theatre Workshop to 54 Below and the Highline Ballroom.

Broadway husband and wife Will Swenson and Audra McDonald recently filmed themselves singing a seemingly random duet- the theme song from the hit '70s show LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY. Check out the fun a capella performance, made for Broadway Sleepout, below!

Winner of the 2014 NYMF Developmental Reading Series, this Latin infused American musical is inspired by the true story of a Princeton Undergrad who was an undocumented child immigrant from the Dominican Republic. When Manuel gets a scholarship to study at Oxford, he's faced with the realization that he can't leave the USA. He takes on The Statue of Liberty in the fight of a lifetime; the high-stakes boxing match that is immigration today. Is Manuel worthy? No one is spared in this political comedy that pulls no punches about immigration reform and the American Dream.

Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that the musical comedy GIGANTIC will open the Vineyard Theatre's 2015-2016 season, which includes the previously announced new plays INDECENT by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel and DOT by the actor and playwright Colman Domingo. The season will also include a Developmental Lab of Christopher Chen's YOU MEAN TO DO ME HARM in the summer of 2016. Chen is the recipient of the Vineyard's 2013 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award. Vineyard Theatre is located at 108 E. 15 St. in New York City.

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival's landmark 2016 was announced last week by Producing Artistic Director, Brett Smock who stated, "Halfway through our season, this is a time for us to reflect on our successful season thus far and also a time for us to look ahead.  From a gripping "West Side Story" to an emotional journey through "The Light in the Piazza" to the world premiere of the new North American production of "Saturday Night Fever," we've had surprising and fulfilling artistic experiences all summer long.  We have enjoyed success at the box office and are anticipating a strong remainder of our season.  We have crafted an ambitious but highly appealing season with - literally -- something for everyone!  Next year represents our largest and most ambitious season to date."
