Yesterday morning, July 3rd, New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presented a special preview of the 2012 featuring musical selections from: Rio, Stand Tall, Himself & Nora, Trouble, Stealing Time, Arnie the Doughnut, Foreverman, A Letter to Harvey Milk and The Groove Factory.
THE NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL (NYMF) and BEYOND BOUNDARIES present Christopher Wilson's LIVING WITH HENRY, musically directed by James Higgins, and directed/choreographed by Donna Marie Barratta. As an official selection of the 2012 Next Link Project, LIVING WITH HENRY will play a limited engagement at the Off-Broadway Theatre - the PTC Performance Space (555 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036). Performances begin Monday, July 23rd, 2012 at 8:00 pm and continue through Sunday, July 29th, 2012 at 5:00 pm. Press are invited Tuesday, July 24th, 2012 at 1:00 pm and any subsequent performance. A LETTER TO HARVEY MILK, a new musical which was a finalist in this year's prestigious Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theater, is one of 10 musical plays being presented by the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival Next Link Project (NYMF), which starts on July 9th. The musical is based on the short story, 'A Letter To Harvey Milk' by Lesléa Newman. Today, the New York Musical Theatre Festival hosted a press preview day, sampling its offerings this year, and on hand to preview MILK was the show's star, Leslie Kritzer (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair Legally Blonde). The Theatre @ Boston Court and Furious Theatre Company present 'The Government Inspector," a World Premiere adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's "The Government Inspector" adapted by, and original songs by Oded Gross, directed by Stefan Novinksi. The play opens July 28 on the Main Stage at Boston Court Performing Arts Center, 70 North Mentor Avenue.

Right from the Broadway production of Godspell, Hannah Elless joins the cast of Michael Ogborn's award winning musical Baby Case, playing the role of Adela St. John. Baby Case is directed by Jeremy Dobrish and produced by Charlie Fink, Michael Ogborn, Robert Soslow, Juliana Schauerman, Dorothy Flynn, Caroline Castagno, Glenn Gunderson, Kathy Lou Leone, Diane Santillo, and Anne Makara. Baby Case will play from July 16 - 22, 2012, at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42 St). Baby Case is presented by The New York Musical Theatre Festival.
After sold-out shows at the Canal Room and the Laurie Beechman, Cutting-Edge Composers brings its latest concert to NYMF on Monday, July 23rd at 7 and 9:30 pm at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 w. 46th Street).
