19th Annual FringeNYC Festival Applications Open; Final Deadline 2/14

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 19th Annual Festival from August 14 - 30, 2014. Each year the festival presents programming by nearly 200 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies. General FringeNYC applications for 2015 are currently being accepted for participants in all genres (theatre, dance, puppetry, performance art, multi-media, etc.). Separate FringeAL FRESCO (free outdoor events) and FringeJR (children's programming) applications are also available.

The New Colony Premieres Musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION Tonight

The New Colony is pleased to launch its 2014-15 mainstage season with the world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION at its new permanent home -- The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

Amphibian Stage Productions to Kick Off Reading Series with PLEADING INFINITY, 1/25

Amphibian Stage Productions begins its 2015 season with the first installment of its newly formatted staged reading series. This year the series will host three playwrights in residence and exclusively feature unpublished works. Pleading Infinity by TJ Walsh, Texas native and Texas Christian University professor, will lead the series.

Sheila Callaghan's EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH Begins 1/28 at Rattlestick

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, True Love Productions and The Theatre @ Boston Court have announced that the New York Premiere of Everything You Touch, written by Sheila Callaghan and directed by Jessica Kubzansky, will begin previews Wednesday, January 28 at 8pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, February 12 at 7pm. Everything You Touch is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 29, 2015.

THE WOODSMAN Returns to 59E59 Theaters Tonight

59E59 Theaters and Strangemen & Co., in association with Robb Nanus and Rachel Sussman, present the return engagement of The Woodsman to 59E59 Theaters, Theater B (59 East 59 Street between Park and Madison Avenues). Directed by James Ortiz and Claire Karpen, with associate direction by Devin Dunne Cannon. The Woodsman begins performances tonight, January 13, 2015 and opens Sunday, January 18, 2015. The Woodsman will play a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, February 22, 2015. The exclusive 59E59 Member presale begins on Monday, December 1, 2014 and tickets will be on sale to the general public on Friday, December 5, 2014.

Capital Stage to Continue 10th Season with Aaron Loeb's IDEATION, Opening 1/24

Capital Stage continues it's 10th Anniversary season with the 2014 Glickman Award Winner for Best New Play, IDEATION by San Francisco playwright Aaron Loeb. A psychological suspense thriller in which a group of corporate consultants work together on a mysterious and ethically ambiguous project, IDEATION received its world premiere at San Francisco Playhouse in 2013. CapStage's production will be the second staging of this celebrated new play. CapStage and Loeb previously collaborated in 2008 on the Sacramento premiere of his play, FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. IDEATION will run from January 21 through February 22 with a Press Opening on Saturday January 24, 2015. Tickets: 916-995-5464 or capstage.org.

Award­-winning actors Bill Connington (ZOMBIE) and Cadden Jones (WEST SIDE STORY) appeared in the sparkling George Bernard Shaw comedy PYGMALION at the Colonial Dames Museum House at 215 East 71st Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues). The evening was produced by Razors Edge Productions and benefited historic Van Cortlandt House Museum in Van Cordtlandt Park. Scroll down for photos!

STANLEY IN THE NAME OF LOVE and THE TERRIBLE Join The New Colony's 2014-15 Season

The New Colony is pleased to announce its full 2014-15 main stage season at its new permanent home -- The Den Theatre's, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Joining the previously announced world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION, The New Colony will present two additional world premieres: the musical comedy STANLEY IN THE NAME OF LOVE written and directed by Mr. Margaret Svetlove and the dark comedy THE TERRIBLE by Morgan McNaught, directed by Jesse Roth.
