Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America season of free, live performances this summer will continue with eight esteemed New York City-based dance companies showcasing their work on the Bryant Park stage.

New York City Opera will present The Barber of Seville on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 7pm as part of Bryant Park's Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. The one-night-only performance will be fully staged, costumed, and accompanied by live music.

Tickets are still available for the concert presented by The Riverside Opera Ensemble at Merkin Hall featuring Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Nathan R. Matthews who is producing as well as performing in the show. 

New York City Opera will present a season of four free, live performances this summer as part of their Park Series in Bryant Park's Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. Each performance features City Opera's brightest stars as well as members of the City Opera orchestra and will begin at 7pm on the Bryant Park Stage.

Bryant Park Corporation announces the lineup for its summer performing arts series, Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. Twenty-six live music, dance, and theater events – all starting at 7pm – will take place at Midtown Manhattan's Bryant Park between late May and September.

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).

Featuring an extraordinary dance performance that uniquely combines emotional depth and thrilling physicality, the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center (SMDCAC) hosts Doug Varone and Dancers on Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m.

You won't want to miss the Jack Skleinsinger's dynamic final Highlights in Jazz concert for 2022, when today's top jazz players take to the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center stage to celebrate the Return of the Jam Session. The 49th season final is is set for May 12. It features Peter and Will Anderson on saxophones, flutes and clarinets; trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, pianist Ted Rosenthal, drummer Victor Lewis, trumpeter Brian Lynch and guitarist James Chirillo, playing together for the very first time.

New York City Opera co-presents a work commissioned by the Théatre du Chatelet, Angels in America at the Salzburg State Theatre in Salzburg, Austria.
