The Weight, a new play by Zac Kline (Messed Up Here Tonight, Big Star California), will be presented in a staged reading March 23rd at 7 PM at Chelsea Studios. Directed by Matthew Klein (Artistic Associate at the New Group), the cast includes with Blair Baker (Oleanna, Broadway/Mark Taper Forum), William Forber, Allison Hirschlag, Emily Olson (Together This Time, NYC Fringe Festival), Dan Stern, Conor Stratton, and Peter Zimmermann. It is produced by NYC's Missing Bolts Productions.

Following nearly two months of on-campus development, Retrop Productions and Emerson College's RareWorks Theatre Company, in association with Kurt Deutsch, President and Founder of Sh-K Boom Records, will present Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback's Darling, A New Musical. The developmental production will premiere in Boston, MA, at Emerson College's Semel Theater on March 2, 2012.

Rabe and Manocherian are recipients of the sixth annual Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater. Founded in 2005, this award recognizes individuals who show outstanding commitment to the theatrical community. Past recipients include Wallace Shawn, Fred Wistow, Robyn Goodman, Ethan Hawke, Ruth and Stephen Hendel, Wendy Ettinger and Derek McLane.
