The Pearl Theatre Company's production of Eugene O'Neill's A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN plays its final performance tonight, April 15, at New York City Center Stage II. This masterpiece, written in the twilight of O'Neill's illustrious career, follows a moonlight encounter between two lonely souls. The production was directed by J.R. Sullivan.
Paul Gross, one of Canada's acclaimed actors, will lead the cast of Are You There, McPhee? a world premiere by John Guare at McCarter Theatre Center. Directed by Sam Buntrock, the production will run from May 4 through June 3, 2012. (Opening Night: Friday, May 11.)
Artistic Directors Joe Jahraus and Darrell W. Cox have announced Profiles Theatre's 2012 - 2013 Season. They also announced that acclaimed playwright Neil LaBute and Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder joined Profiles as Resident Artists.
Five productions are planned for the upcoming 24th season, including the Midwest premieres of the award-winning Blood from a Stone in a newly revised version by playwright Tommy Nohilly, After by Chad Beckim, The Dream of the Burning Boy by David West Read and the Midwest premiere of Neil LaBute's controversial 2010 play The Break of Noon revised exclusively for Profiles Theatre. Additionally, one of Chicago theatre's longest running hits, Hellcab by Will Kern, returns for its 20th Anniversary production. These five productions alternate between Profiles' two venues, The Main Stage at 4139 N. Broadway and The Alley Stage at 4147 N. Broadway.
Gotham Chamber Opera continues its 10th-anniversary celebration with a revival of Mozart's Il sogno di Scipione, which announced the company's arrival on the New York cultural scene ten years ago.
Jason Forbach, currently appearing as Enjolras in the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Miserables, will present a one-night-only concert 'Broadway a la Carte II' alongside Kristi Tingle and the Abilene Philharmonic under the musical direction of Maestro David Itken. The concert will be presented May 5th at the Abilene Civic Center at 8 p.m. It will feature classic songs from the best of the Broadway stage including hits from Guys & Dolls, Cabaret, Miss Saigon and more.

Due to critical praise and popular demand, Vineyard Theatre has announced a final extension - now through April 28 - for the new musical NOW. HERE. THIS., which opened to rave reviews and sold out houses at The Vineyard on March 28. This will be the second and final extension for the show, which must close on April 28 due to season and artist schedules.
