Tonight, December 8th, BROADWAY SESSIONS welcomes cast members from The New Group production of Sweet Charity, starring Sutton Foster.

Greenhouse Theater Center will continue its Solo Celebration! Series with the world premiere of Brett Neveu's haunting drama HER AMERICA (formerly titled MISS AMERICA), starring veteran Chicago and Broadway actress Kate Buddeke and directed by Linda Gillum.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble announces its 2017 Season, 'The Mind/Body Connection.' The season includes three new plays linked under this mind/body connection and told from distinctly female perspectives. These bold works explore how we separate our primal, instinctive physical beings from our intellectual and emotional selves. The season will be performed at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.

Theater Close-Up, the unique collaboration between THIRTEEN and the large community of New York City area non-profit Off-Broadway theaters, will present Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Buried Child in Scott Elliott's acclaimed production from The New Group, Monday, November 28 at 9 p.m. on THIRTEEN, with an encore presentation today, December 2 at 3:30 a.m. The play will also air Sunday, December 18 at 10 p.m. on WLIW21. Actress Blythe Danner hosts the broadcast.

The New Group's critically acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of Buried Child, directed by Scott Elliott, will transfer to Trafalgar Studios in London for a strictly limited season from 14 November - 18 February 2017, with press night on 1 December.

Gulfshore Playhouse, Southwest Florida's Premiere Professional theatre, is very excited to announce that 2016 Tony Award-nominee Carmen Cusack will star in the one-woman, world premiere of Do This by Karen Siff Exkorn, which will run from January 7th through the 28th.

Ever since it opened in 1966 as the Broadway production that made the Palace Theatre go legit, the final scene of Neil Simon (book), Dorothy Fields (lyrics) and Cy Coleman's (music) hyper-swinging Sweet Charity has been a trouble spot.

Rehearsals are underway for the Steppenwolf-commissioned world premiere production of Erika Sheffer's The Fundamentals, directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, who also directed Sheffer's Russian Transport at Steppenwolf in 2014.
