Performance Network Theatre announces its production of the musical, 'Little Shop of Horrors' with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. 'Little Shop of Horrors' will begin April 1st and run through May 9th, 2010. This zany comedy stars Broadway veteran Naz Edwards ('Souvenir'), Jason Richards ('The Fantasticks'), Aaron Moore ('The Fantasticks'), BJ Love ('Christmas Carol'd') and Courtney Myers. It is directed by Performance Network Executive Director, Carla Milarch ('The Fantasticks,' 'The Baker's Wife'), with musical direction by R. MacKenzie Lewis.

Rockland's only dinner theatre, The Mulberry Street Grill and Supper Club, continues its fantastic 2010 season with the musical comedy, 'They're Playing Our Song.' The show opens on April 2nd and runs through May 9th with dinner shows on Friday and Saturday evenings, a 12 course gala sit-down Sunday brunch and weekday lunch shows.

In a recent Newsweek article, author Ramin Setoodeh asks 'Heterosexual actors play gay all the time. Why doesn't it ever work in reverse?' Hayes' co-star, stage and screen favorite Kristin Chenoweth has authored a response to the Newsweek article, which she refers to as 'horrendously homophobic.'
