Phase 4 Films announces that the company has set a December 13, 2013 theatrical release date for THE CRASH REEL, the award-winning and critically-acclaimed documentary

The production opened last night to critical acclaim - the Evening Standard called it 'wickedly funny'; The Independent praised 'Indhu Rubasingham's excellent production'; and the Daily Telegraph said, 'If ever a fringe show looked a dead cert for a West End transfer it is this one.'

The Museum of Modern Art honors Dante Ferretti (Italian, b. 1943) with a large-scale multimedia installation comprising a 12-screen labyrinth featuring projected scenes from his work; original set pieces from the films that earned him three Academy Awards; and a six-month retrospective of 22 films featuring the production designer's career-defining work. DANTE FERRETTI: DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE CINEMA, on view from today, September 28, 2013 through February 9, 2014, features large-scale, original set pieces recovered from sets designed by Ferretti, including the chandeliers from Pier Paolo Pasolini's SALÓ, or THE 120 DAYS OF SODOM (1977) and the massive, illuminated clock from Martin Scorsese's HUGO (2011), as well as sculptural objects created for the Venice Film Festival.

Today, The Creative Coalition selected the award-winning and critically-acclaimed feature, THE DIRTIES, for the organization's prestigious 2013 Spotlight Initiative Film Slate. The movie is directed by Matt Johnson, who stars in the film alongside Owen Williams. Johnson also wrote the film along with Evan Morgan and Josh Boles. Matthew Miller, Johnson, Morgan, and Jared Raab are producers. THE DIRTIES made its world premiere at the 2013 Slamdance Film Festival, where it won the Narrative Grand Jury Prize. XYZ Films represented the film at Slamdance and sold it to Phase 4 Films, who will release it October 4, 2013 in theaters and on VOD via its distribution partnership with acclaimed filmmaker Kevin Smith (CLERKS, RED STATE) through the Kevin Smith Movie Club.

The epic saga of THE BORGIAS, a complex, unvarnished portrait of one of history's most infamous dynastic families, is created by Academy Award-winner and Emmy nominee Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview with the Vampire). The series will conclude with its final episode on Sunday, June 16th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. This expansive drama series stars Oscar winner Jeremy Irons in his Golden Globe-nominated role as Pope Alexander VI, the cunning, manipulative patriarch of the infamous Borgia dynasty, who builds an empire by bribing, buying and muscling his way into the papacy. THE BORGIAS cast also includes François Arnaud, Holliday Grainger, Joanne Whalley, Lotte Verbeek, Sean Harris, Thure Lindhart, Gina McKee, Peter Sullivan, Julian Bleach and Colm Feore.

Deadline reports that Showtime's hit drama series THE BORGIAS will forego a fourth and final season and instead present a two-hour telemovie to conclude its storyline.
