It's Our 'I LOVE New York' Season! Direct-from-New-York, Nederlander presents the SunTrustBroadway at DPAC, 2014/2015 Season. The seventh season of SunTrust Broadway at DPAC has been deemed the 'I Love New York' season as seven of the eight shows are current top ten hits on Broadway while the eighth has received world-wide recognition. Past seasons have always featured the newest and best shows from New York, but this season is truly astonishing. In all, these eight shows have garnered over 70 Tony nominations and over 30 Tony Award wins on Broadway.

Today in 2009, Guys and Dolls opened at the Nederlander Theatre, where it ran for 121 performances. Guys and Dolls is a musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is based on 'The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown' and 'Blood Pressure', two short stories by Damon Runyon, and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories, most notably 'Pick the Winner'. Premiering on Broadway in 1950, the original production ran for 1200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical has had several Broadway revivals as well as West End productions.

THE LAST SHIPwill have its pre-Broadway World Premiere at Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe) from June 10 - July 13, 2014. THE LAST SHIP will open on Broadway in the fall of 2014. Raoul Wallenberg's epic journey will be brought to life in a multi-media staged reading of Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama. The production will take place at Lynn University's Wold Center for the Performing Arts on February 12th and 13th only. With book and lyrics by the 2006 Kleban Award-winning team of Laurence Holzman and Felicia Needleman, and music by Benjamin Rosenbluth, Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama recounts the fascinating and uplifting story of one of the greatest heroes of the twentieth century.
