The Broadhurst Theatre box office (235 West 44th Street) opens on Monday, March 9 for MARY STUART, the critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production, starring Janet McTeer as Mary Queen of Scots and Harriet Walter as Elizabeth I. Performances begin Tuesday, March 30 at the Broadhurst, prior to an opening night on Sunday, April 19

DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd. brought SHREK THE MUSICAL to the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway @ 53rd St) on Sunday, December 14, 2008. Preview performances began on Saturday, November 8, 2008. The cast album from Universal/Decca Broadway will be released March 24th, 2009.

Beale, Mendes And More Appear at Shakespeare Society 3/2

The Shakespeare Society (Michael Sexton, Artistic Director) will present Olivier Award winner Simon Russell Beale and Academy Award winner Sam Mendes in an evening dedicated to Shakespeare's late masterpiece, The Winter's Tale, on Monday, March 2 at 7:00pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, East 68 Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues.

The DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd production of SREK THE MUSICAL opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York City on December 14, 2008. On March 24th, the highly anticipated Original Cast Recording will be released by Decca Broadway.

THE BRIDGE PROJECT BENEFIT Celebrates Inaugural Year On 2/17

BAM and The Old Vic announce The Bridge Project Benefit, celebrating the inaugural year of repertory co-productions from BAM, The Old Vic, and Neal Street Productions. The February 17 event begins at 6pm with cocktails and dinner onstage at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House followed by an 8pm performance of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale at the BAM Harvey Theater, directed by Sam Mendes and featuring a star-studded, transatlantic cast including Simon Russell Beale, Sin?ad Cusack, Richard Easton, Rebecca Hall, Josh Hamilton, and Ethan Hawke. The evening concludes with a post-performance dessert reception with the cast onstage at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. Benefit tickets can be purchased though BAM Patron Services at 718.636.4182.

On Friday, February 17th, the cast of Broadway's SHREK THE MUSICAL will perform on ABC?s ?The View.? Brian d?Arcy James and Sutton Foster will first perform ?I?ve Got You Beat? and then join the company (also featuring Daniel Breaker and John Tartaglia) in performing ?Freak Flag.? ?The View? airs nationally on ABC (channel 7, WABC in the tri-state area).
