Letters To Daddy, Jr., a contemporary musical that celebrates life through the eyes of a child written and produced by Center Stages' JILL JAYSEN with music and lyrics by MARK SHEPARD and conceived by 4e Productions will be presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), Letters to Daddy, Jr. will be presented for two performances only Sunday, October 4th at 1pm and 4pm at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street between Amsterdam and West End Avenue.

From the creators of the Broadway-bound White Noise, which was a hit at NYMF in 2006, Street Lights features a groundbreaking score that uses modern hip hop, R&B and pop to tell a timeless story in the musical language of today's youth, while creating a bridge to earlier generations by incorporating samples of old civil rights anthems within the modern songs and beats.

New York Musical Theatre Festival's 'Next Broadway Sensation,' formerly known as 'Broadway Idol,' returns for its fourth year. Diana DeGarmo, 'American Idol' (Season 3) runner-up, now in The Toxic Avenger at New World Stages, will serve as host for the competition's first round on September 13; celebrity hosts for the semifinals on September 20 and the Broadway Sensation October 4 finale will be announced shortly. Confirmed judges include Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, upcoming film Taking Woodstock), Bailey Hanks and Orfeh (Legally Blonde), composer/lyricist Paul Scott Goodman (Rooms), Kacie Sheik and Allison Case (Hair), and record producer Noah Cornman of Sh-k-boom Records...
