According to the Star, a high school in Utah has cancelled a student production of All Shook Up because of a 'sexually suggestive song.' Rehearsals for the production had already begun but the Herriman High School announced that a different show would be selected due to offensive content.

The It Gets Better Project, created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach will present their 2012 A Better Holiday concert. The concert will be held on December 16 from 7-10PM at XL Nightclub in partnership with The Group Entertainment, and will raise funds for the Ali Forney Center (AFC), the nation's largest organization working on behalf of runaway and homeless LGBTQ youth; the AFC had a vital drop-in center destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in late October.

Saturday was our two show day. Before I went to work, I hung out with my friend Natalie Hall who was in from LA staying with me for the week. She, and the emerging star of this blog, my roommate's dog Radley, formed quite a friendship over the course of the week. Every morning I would peer into the living room to see Radley claiming his space on top of a snoozing Natalie.

Friday night after the show I walked down the street to Evita and met up with my friend, Erica Mansfield. We hopped into a cab and made our way east to Biblioteca to grab a drink in honor, Evan, Julie Kotaride's fiance's, 30th birthday. Birthday cheer and margaritas hit the spot.

Minnetonka Theatre is celebrating 10 years under the Artistic Direction of Kent Knutson, director of both the theatre's high school and community branches, with a remount of their fan favorite production, All Shook Up! Alumni cast members were invited back to be a part of this Elvis inspired musical, first presented by Minnetonka High School in 2009. Today in 2005, All Shook Up opened at the Palace Theatre, where it ran for 213 performances.All Shook Up is a jukebox musical with Elvis Presley music, with a book by Joe DiPietro. The story is based on William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Directed by Christopher Ashley, with choreography by Ken Roberson, the original Broadway cast included Cheyenne Jackson (Chad), Jenn Gambatese (Natalie Haller/'Ed'), and Jonathan Hadary (Jim Haller).

The Uwharrie Players, the community theater organization of Stanly County, seeks actors, singers and dancers for additional principle and ensemble roles to complete casting for its' summer 2011 production of All Shook Up, a musical showcasing the music of Elvis Presley.
