Young Vic's Acclaimed Revival of A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE Will Bow on Broadway This Fall

Direct from two completely sold-out engagements in London, producers Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater will bring the Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE to Broadway this fall.  The production, which swept the 2015 Olivier Awards — winning for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor (Mark Strong) —will begin previews Wednesday evening, October 21 and open on Thursday, November 12 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45 Street.  A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE will play an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 21, 2016.

RSC's Stratford-Upon-Avon Winter 2015 Artistic Programme to Feature HENRY V, WENDY & PETER PAN and More

Royal Shakespeare Company has announed its Stratford-Upon Avon winter 2015 artistic program, including making the 600th anniversary of Agincourt and continues Shakespeare's Histories with Gregory Doran's production of Henry V, also screened 'Live from Stratford-upon-Avon' to cinemas and schools, Jonathan Munby's acclaimed production of Ella Hickson's Wendy & Peter Pan returns to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, two new plays premiere in the Swan Theatre - Hecuba by Marina Carr, directed by Erica Whyman, and Queen Anne by Helen Edmundson, directed by Natalie Abrahami and Congreve's Love for Love - first RSC staging of this glorious Restoration Comedy, directed by Selina Cadell.

Stevenson To Return To Young Vic In HAPPY DAYS In 2015

Juliet Stevenson returns to the Young Vic in February 2015 to reprise her mesmerising performance as Winnie in Natalie Abrahami's acclaimed production of Happy Days which sold out its first run in the Main House. David Beames returns to play Willie in a limited five-week run of Samuel Beckett's existential masterpiece.

Nuffield Theatre Launches Inaugural FULCRUM SOUTHAMPTON Festival Today

Following on from the hugely successful production of Caryl Churchill's A Number, Nuffield continues its season of work exploring the interaction between the arts and science by launching the inaugural Fulcrum Southampton festival. Over three days, Nuffield will curate a mini festival of debates, performances and panel discussions between cultural figures, social commentators and world class scientists with work from two of the UK's most innovative theatre companies.

KNIGHT WATCH, ROOSEVELVIS & More Set for The Almeida Festival, July 2-28

This summer the Almeida throws its doors open to its annual festival which celebrates the best of international theatre. Over four weeks (2 -28 July) the Almeida will present productions by Inua Ellams, Inspector Sands, Lost Dog and Custom/Practice with return visits from the TEAM, Greyscale and Young Friends of the Almeida. In addition there will be a programme of one-off events, to be announced shortly.

Tolstoy had been inspired by the Beethoven piece of the same name and hoped one day to see his work performed to the accompaniment of music.
