The Show Goes On Productions (TSGO) is proud to announce QUEEN OF THE BEATNIKS: THE SONGS OF JUDY HENSKE is back by popular demand to the Cutting Room, this time with a new band! The show, written and performed by MEREDITH DIMENNA under the musical direction of JASON BINNICK will be at the Cutting Room, November 19th, 2013 at 8:00pm EST. Bob O'Hare made his cabaret debut in May of 2009 with 'Home: A Musical Journey.' It was a wonderful way to kick off his summer. It was well-received, with Sandi Durell lauding its 'carefully chosen songs cleverly intertwined' and 'truly realized' performances.

Three of today's leading ladies of jazz, Geri Allen (piano), Terri Lyne Carrington (drums) and Esperanza Spalding (bass), also known as the trio ACS, will take to the stage at Segerstrom Center for the Arts today and tomorrow, October 25 and 26 for four performances in Samueli Theater. Having formed during their work together on Carrington's Grammy Award-winning album The Mosaic Project, the innovative ensemble is now touring and taking jazz to new and exciting heights. In response to their debut at New York's legendary Village Vanguard, The Village Voice remarked, 'the set's expressionistic push-pull turned out to be a show of jazz fealty as disorienting as it was riveting.'

Acclaimed trumpeter Jon Faddis will perform as a special guest with the NJCU Alumni Jazz Big Band in Six Decades of Jazz at NJCU, a free concert series launched in celebration of the inauguration of Dr. Sue Henderson as New Jersey City University's 12thpresident. 3-D Theatriclas presents Funny Girl Sept 6 - Sept 22, 2013 at the Plummer Auditorium, and Sept 27 - Sept 29, 2013 at Redondo Beach. Funny Girl is a musical with a book by Isobel Lennart, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Bob Merrill. The semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of Broadway, film star and comedienne Fanny Briceand her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein. Its original title was My Man.
