Tony Award nominee Quiara Alegria Hudes and Tony Award winner Bill Sherman's new musical 'Barrio Grrrl!' will have its world premiere at the Kennedy Centre on October 24.

Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Ray Cullom, will present the beloved musical The Fantasticks, directed by Amanda Dehnert, from October 7 through November 1, 2009, on the Mainstage.

Full casting is set for the upcoming Arena Stage musical The Fantasticks by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt. Arena's re-imagined production with direction by Amanda Dehnert, musical direction by George Fulginti-Shakar and set direction by Eugene Lee runs November 20, 2009 through January 10, 2010 at Arena Stage at the Lincoln Theatre.

Faye Butler (Dinah Was, Ain't Misbehavin') are joined by NaTasha Yvette Williams (Broadway's The Color Purple), Mary Millben, Kara Tameika Watkins, Phillip Boykin and Zurin Villanueva. Howard University student Villanueva was discovered in Arena's January 'Finding Yolanda' one-day casting search, and this production marks her debut professional performance.
