The inspiration behind the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company says he's never actually eaten there. Mykelti Williamson, the actor who played Forrest Gump's best friend Bubba in the 1994 Academy Award-winning film, admits he's never been to the restaurant featuring his character's name, despite performing only a few blocks away from its Times Square location.

Denzel Washington and Viola Davis reprise their roles in a big screen adaptation of August Wilson's 1983 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play FENCES. Washington directs the film, hitting theaters on Christmas Day, December 25th from Paramount Studios.

The event, 30 years after the play first played at the Curran theater ahead of its Broadway premiere, will reopen the Curran following a just-completed, extensive renovation.
