True Colors Theatre Company (Kenny Leon, Co-Founding Artistic Director) and Jujamcyn Theaters (Jordan Roth, President) are proud to announce the winners of the 9th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition that was held last night, on Monday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street).

Viola Davis has won the Academy Award for Best supporting Actress for FENCES. The actress reprised her Tony Award winning performance as Rose in the big-screen adaptation of August Wilson's drama.

The winners of the "48th NAACP Image Awards" were announced tonight during the live broadcast from Pasadena Civic Auditorium which aired on TV One. The two-hour live special was hosted by Anthony Anderson. There was a live pre-show from the red carpet hosted by Nischelle Turner and Terrence Jenkins including Tai Beauchamp and Chris Spencer as special correspondents.

The biggest names in film, television and music including Tracee Ellis Ross, Mandy Moore, Adam Rodriguez, Rashida Jones, Bill Paxton, Brian White, Deon Cole, Jussie Smollett, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Justin Cornwell, Nick Kroll, Penny Johnson and Pooch Hall will present at 48th NAACP IMAGE AWARDS.

Denzel Washington has won the 2017 SAG AWARD for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for FENCES.

Viola Davis has won the SAG AWARD for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for FENCES.
