Lortel Statues for 14 categories and 2 special awards were handed out by celebrity presenters at the 2010 Lucille Lortel Awards at a live awards ceremony last night, May 2, at Terminal 5. Hosted by the Off-Broadway League, the live show was co-hosted by Bryan Batt and Bebe Neuwirth and featured performances by Alan Menken, STOMP, Seth Rudetsky, Edward Watts of The Fanasticks and LaChanze. The New York Pops has announced additional casting for its upcoming 27th Birthday Concert and Gala. Entitled The Best Is Yet To Come: Celebrating the Legacy of Frank Sinatra, the event will take place at Carnegie Hall on May 3 at 7PM. The evening will be hosted by Liz Smith.

Tthe 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone will host the awards ceremony.

PS Classics will release a recording of 'Life Begins at 8:40' on June 8. The Harold Arlen, Ira Gershwin and Yip Harburg collabrative revue was presented in concert at The Library Of Congress on March 22 with Kate Baldwin, Montego Glover, Philip Chaffin, Christopher Fitzgerald, Rebecca Luker, Brad Oscar, Graham Rowat, Jessica Stone and Faith Prince.
