MMLJWW Extends Run at The Panasonic Theatre, 4/12

Toronto's homegrown musical comedy hit, MY MOTHER'S LESBIAN JEWISH WICCAN WEDDING, continues its love affair with audiences. The show has now been extended one more time, playing until April 4, 2010 at the Panasonic Theatre. Tickets for the new extension are now on sale.

Mochrie, Donaldson & Buliung Star in ART at Bluma Appel Theatre, 3/15-4/10

The Canadian Stage Company presents 'Art' a witty, razor-sharp play that explores the nature of friendship while examining the definition of art. Written by Yasmina Reza, 'Art' has achieved spectacular success. It has been translated into at least 35 languages and won numerous awards. The production stars Colin Mochrie (Whose Line is It Anyway?, CTV/ ABC) as Serge, Peter Donaldson (And So It Goes, Factory; Hysteria, Canadian Stage) as Marc and Evan Buliung (Cloud 9, Mirvish Productions; The House of Martin Guerre, Canadian Stage) as Yvan and is directed by Morris Panych (7 Stories, The Overcoat, Canadian Stage). 'Art' runs March 15 to April 10, 2010 (media night: March 18) at the Bluma Appel Theatre, 27 Front Street East, Toronto.

Reunion of Les Miserables Canadian Casts Planned for June 2010

Les Miserables is widely regarded as one of the most popular and successful musicals of all-time. It was the third longest running show on Broadway and has had over 9,500 performances in London's West End. Throughout the years, there have been many successful Canadian Productions of the hit show, and some alumni have come together to attempt to organize a reunion for June 2010 to bring together everyone who was ever part of the Canadian Les Mis family. BWW will be on hand to cover the big event and has also agreed to lend a hand in spreading the word, in the hopes that as many people as possible will be able to attend.

Harvey Fierstein Returns to Toronto in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, 6/8 - 6/13

After five weeks of packed houses and standing ovations, Toronto audiences cannot seem to get enough of the touring production of TONY Award-winning musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, starring Harvey Fierstein. My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding was the surprise smash hit at last year's Toronto Fringe Festival, and has been wowing larger audiences at the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto for the last few months. It was recently announced that the show will be brought back in February for another extension, and after finally getting to see it, I can certainly understand why. This is a real crowd pleaser, guaranteed to give you a fun night out.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC Raises $11,700.00 For The Actors Fund Of Canada

Audiences were alive with the sound of generosity at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre, donating $11,700 to the Actors' Fund of Canada following performances of The Sound of Music from December 1 to 6.
