Writer Lucy Prebble Talks Broadway-bound ENRON

The Times Online profiles writer Lucy Prebble whose play 'Enron' has achieved critical acclaim and is now Broadway-bound. 'Enron' had its premiere in Chichester, has since transferred to the West End's Noel Coward Theatre, and is now up on the marquee awaiting the start of its Broadway previews slated for April 2010 - and all within the span of one year.

JERUSALEM, ENRON, Jude Law et al. Honored with Critics Circle Theatre Awards

The Critics' Circle Theatre Awards 2010 were hosted today by its Chairman, Mark Shenton, theatre critic for the Sunday Express and daily blogger for The Stage website at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London. For the sixth year, the awards were presented in association with Nyman Libson Paul Chartered Accountants, leading entertainment industry specialists; and supported by Delfont Mackintosh Theatres and lastminute.com.

ENRON Featured in Vanity Fair; New Promotional Photo Revealed

A new promotional photo from the West End's production of the play ENRON has appeared in a new Vanity Fair feature. Inspired by the real-life financial scandal of 2001, ENRON, which was commissioned by Headlong Theatre, premiered this past summer at the Minerva Theatre Chichester, and then moved for a six-week run at The Royal Court Theatre where it played through November 8, 2009. The play will open at West End's Noel Coward Theatre later this month.

Lucy Prebble's new play ENRON will play The Broadhurst Theatre, beginning previews on Broadway on April 8, 2010 and opening on April 27, 2010. The marquee is up and ready for the show to move in.

Lucy Prebble's new play ENRON will play The Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44th St. between 8th and Broadway), beginning previews on Broadway on April 8, 2010 and opening on April 27, 2010.

Royal Court Wins At Evening Standard Award

The Royal Court Theatre led the way in yesterday's Evening Standard Awards, taking the gong in four out of the eight categories, Best Actor, Best Play, Best Director and Most Promising Playwright.

ENRON to Open on Broadway in April 2010

ENRON, written by Lucy Prebble, recently began a six-week run at London's Royal Court Theatre on September 17 and will move to the West End's Noel Coward Theatre on January 16, prior to an official opening Jan. 26, 2010. It will replace the soon-to-close CALENDAR GIRLS. The New York Times is reporting that the production will move to Broadway at a Shubert Theater to be determined in April 2010. The Broadway transfer will be produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Matthew Byam Shaw, Act Productions, Caro Newling for Neal St. Productions and the Shubert Organization.

'Six Characters' to Transfer to the West End

Six Characters In Search Of An Author by Luigi Pirandello with a new translation by Rupert Goold, which is currently playing at Chichester's Minerva theatre is set to transfer to the West End's Gielgud theatre.

Enter the Bloody King: Patrick Stewart's 'Macbeth' Opens on Broadway April 8

Direct from sold-out, critically acclaimed engagements at BAM, The West End's Gielgud Theatre and UK's Chichester Festival Theatre, Patrick Stewart comes to Broadway in the five-time Olivier Award-nominated production of Macbeth. Opening April 8 at the Lyceum Theatre; beginning previews March 28 with performances through May 24.

Cohen & West to Star in Churchill's 'Drunk Enough?' at The Public

The Public Theater continues its spring season with the U.S. premiere of Drunk Enough to Say I Love You?, a new play by Caryl Churchill presented in association with the Royal Court Theatre. This two-character play, directed by James Macdonald and featuring Scott Cohen and Samuel West, comes to The Public after an acclaimed run at the Royal Court in London last year. Drunk Enough to Say I Love You? will begin previews on Wednesday, March 5 and run through Sunday, April 6 with an official press opening on Sunday, March 16 at 7PM.

Critics' Circle Award-Winners include 'Hairspray' & Patrick Stewart

The Critics' Circle Theatre Awards 2007 were hosted today by its Chairman Charles Spencer, theatre critic of The Daily Telegraph, at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London. Top winners included the new production of 'Hairspray,' Patrick Stewart and Rupert Goold of 'Macbeth,' plus new play 'A Disappearing Number,' and actors Charles Dance, Anne-Marie Duff, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
