The phenomenal Parsons Dance returns to New Orleans with a program featuring the critically-acclaimed dance/rock opera Remember Me, a collaboration with the Grammy-nominated East Village Opera Company (EVOC), on April 16 at 8pm at the Mahalia Jackson Theater.

Parsons Dance will take part in the 3rd annual Bryant Park Fall Festival, presented by Bank of America, a free performing arts series held from September 13 - 20 in Bryant Park, Sixth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets, NYC.

Joe's Pub at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette St.) announces performances from June 10th to the 14th. The week includes performances from Sunny Jain, Andy Friedman & Jim Avett, Maria Gadú and other.. Ticket prices range from $12 to $25.

Parsons Dance, praised around the world for its virtuosity, exceptional theatricality, athleticism, energy and accessibility, seeks a male dancer and a female dancer. Auditions will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 1-6pm at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street, NYC. Appointments are required for the audition and dancers must bring headshots and resumes.

One of Brazil's oldest acapella singing groups Trio Esperança will release their latest album Trio Esperança - De Bach à Jobim on May 18. With this release the Trio founded in 1958 by siblings Mario, Regina, Eva Correia Jose Maria, mark their first widely distributed album in the United States.

The Stryker / Slagle Band has schedule a performance on May 14th at the Union Co. Performing Arts Center (1601 Irving st., Rahway) prior to the June 1st release of their new album, 'Keeper.' The performance is part of the Downfront Jazz Series and will be at 8 pm.

The jazz duo known as The Stryker/Slagle Band is scheduled for upcoming New Jersey appearances, in addition to the release of their new CD on Saturday, April 17. Guitarist Dave Stryker and Saxophonist Steve Slagle have been developing their own group sound for over 20 years. Dave Stryker spent over 13 years with Stanley Turrentine, and also worked with Jack McDuff, Kevin Mahogany and Eliane Elias. He has 19 CD's out as a leader, and has been a sideman on over 50 others. Saxophonist Steve Slagle has released 10 CD's as a leader, and performed as a sideman on countless others. He has played with Machito, Ray Barretto, Charlie Haden, Milton Nascimento, Carla Bley, The Mingus Big Band, and Joe Lovano's None
