In anticipation of the opening Horton Foote's plays The Orphans Home Cycle, The Outer Critics Circle will host a special panel discussion: Horton Foote...The Journey, an exploration of The Orphans' Home Cycle on Wednesday, November 4th (5PM) at Sardi's Restaurant in the Eugenia Room. The event will be chaired by OCC Executive Committee member Rosalind Friedman who will also serve as co-moderator along with OCC President Simon Saltzman.

Join the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as they lead the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey of transformation and redemption.

Horton Foote, the Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award-winning author of THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE is featured in a Critic at Large essay by John Lahr in The New Yorker, in the issue for the week of October 26, 2009. The piece examines the life and career of Foote, who died on March 4, 2009. The New Yorker is currently available on newsstands.

In celebration of the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 50th Anniversary, the Playhouse is transforming its Rosenthal Plaza. As part of the transformation, 18 local artists (with the possibility of more to come) will create their interpretations of the Playhouse through their chosen medium of expertise.
