Broadway Transfer of PORGY & BESS Greenlit by Gershwin & Heyward Estates

Producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) have announced that the estates of George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin, and DuBose and Dorothy Herward have enthusiastically endorsed THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS, officially greenlighting the sold-out A.R.T. production to come to Broadway. Gershwin Trust Awards 42nd Street Moon $25,000 Grant

Greg MacKellan, artistic director of 42nd Street Moon, and Stephanie Rhoads, producing director, are proud to announce that the Ira and Leonore Gershwin Philanthropic Fund has awarded the company a grant in the amount of $25,000.

Today even as Joe Turner's Come and Gone nears the end of its local run and Artistic Director Tony Taccone is Taking Over Manhattan with Danny Hoch the company announced another extension for its production of The Arabian Nights.
