Broadway In Chicago and the National Theatre's epic WAR HORSE have announced "Heroes Night at the Theatre" honoring members of the military, police and fire department at the Dec. 23, 2012, 7:30 p.m. performance. Patrons with valid military, fire and police IDs will be able to purchase $25 tickets to see WAR HORSE (limit four tickets per ID). The Wicked Young Writers' Award announced its winners for 2012 at a prestigious ceremony on 6th December at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, home of the award-winning musical Wicked. The ceremony was hosted by Louise Dearman, who stars as Elphaba, and prizes were presented by Michael Morpurgo, best-selling author of War Horse and Chair Judge of the Award.

Arts Centre Melbourne is offering audiences the chance to ring in the New Year with Joey, everyone's favourite War Horse. A strictly limited number of tickets to War Horse and the Official War Horse Opening Night Party on New Year's Eve are now on sale, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the Australian premiere of the production. They will then then rub shoulders (or manes) with War Horse cast members, including the life-sized horse puppet Joey, and wine and dine with some of Australia's entertainment royalty at the exclusive after-party.

The Academy of Music is set to present the national tour of War Horse to Philadelphia audiences from tonight, November 20th through December 2nd of this year. Based on a novel by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford in association with Handspring Puppet Company, War Horse is currently running on Broadway, The West End, and in Canada.
