Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, today announced programming for the BAM 2011 Spring Season, which runs from Jan 7 through Jun 11, 2011. The season comprises eight theater, opera, and dance engagements and features BAMcinématek series, BAMcafé Live weekend music events, artist talks, visual art exhibitions, and literary events.

WINE LOVERS, the wine-tasting musical, previously scheduled to run through June 13 at Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré's Muriel's Cabaret Theatre in New Orleans, will now run through June 20, according to the theatre's official website. Over the course of the play, audience members will enjoy a tasting of six delightful wines along with the cast.

Their Excellencies will host an Art Matters forum Sunday, January 24, at 2:30 p.m. at the Glenbow Museum. The forum addresses the question: 'What is the power and purpose of using the arts to engage in a social issue?'
