Theater J Announces Run of Award-Winning Show COPENHAGEN

Theater J will present the intellectually stunning Tony Award-winning drama Copenhagen this winter, directed by Eleanor Holdridge. Michael Frayn's Copenhagen investigates the historical 1941 meeting of German physicist Werner Heisenberg and his Danish counterpart Niels Bohr as they contemplate the creation of the atom bomb. It will run at Theater J from January 5-29, 2017.

Get Ready for Slamming Doors and Sardines! Segal Centre to Present NOISES OFF

The Segal Centre will present the widely popular comedy Noises Off by Michael Frayn. The shenanigans unfold both onstage and off in this classic play-within-a-play where lovers scheme, doors slam, clothes spontaneously fly off, and unbelievable hijinks ensue. The winner of multiple 'Best Play' awards, Noises Off will be on the Segal stage for three weeks only, January 29 through February 19.

The Washington Stage Guild starts its 'Pearl Anniversary' season with a remount of one of America's favorite holiday stories in It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. It's Christmas Eve, 1946, and we are the studio audience for a local radio station as its cast of voice actors and one very busy sound effects man broadcast the beloved tale of George Bailey and his encounter with Clarence, his guardian angel. There comes a moment in Act Two (or maybe it's Act One - on second thought, maybe it's the second Act One, although it could be the third…) of Michael Frayn's Noises Off, now onstage at TPAC's Andrew Johnson Theatre, in which Martha Wilkinson comes onstage, hits her mark, cuts her eyes at another actor and with perfect timing reaches out to touch his arm, her expressive face showing every word the audience needs to hear, eliciting guffaws and applause as her reward.
