Disney Theatrical Productions and The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING go on sale to the public on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Disney's THE LION KING will leap onto the Kravis Center stage on Wednesday, April 24 for a 2-week engagement through Sunday, May 5.

Disney Theatrical Productions and David Mirvish announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING go on sale to the public on Monday December 10, 2018. Disney's THE LION KING will leap onto the Princess of Wales Theatre stage on Thursday June 13 for an 8-week engagement through Sunday August 4, 2019.

Disney Theatrical Productions and the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announced that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public on Friday, November 16, 2018. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Fox Cities P.A.C. stage Thursday, Feb. 7 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, Feb. 24.

Broadway's award-winning best musical THE LION KING celebrates its 21st anniversary today, Tuesday, November 13.

Disney's THE LION KING grossed over $3.7 million at the box office and entertained more than 44,500 theatergoers during its three-week premiere engagement in Boise. The production, which played The Morrison Center for 24 performances from October 17 - November 4, broke the box office record for the highest gross and number of tickets sold for any single show in the theatre's history.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is encouraging patrons to exercise caution when purchasing tickets for Disney's The Lion King after identifying fraudulent tickets for sale online and on social media.

PlayGround continues its 25th season of its celebrated Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series on Monday, November 26, 8 PM at Berkeley Repertory Theatre's Roda Theatre. The topic for November's round, announced this morning, is "FALL DOWN, GET UP". Members of the 2018-19 PlayGround Writers Company have just four-and-a-half days to generate their original ten-minute plays inspired by the topic. The top six scripts will each receive an hour-and-a-half rehearsal and a professional script-in-hand staged reading at Berkeley Rep on November 26. PlayGround writers in Los Angeles are working simultaneously on the same prompt and their finalists will be presented at Hollywood's Broadwater Mainstage (home of Sacred Fools Theatre Company) on November 12.  Tickets are $15-$30 and 5-admission series subscriptions are just $75 ($50 for 25-and-Unders). Disney Theatrical Productions and The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall announced today that tickets for the long-awaited premiere engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public on Friday, November 2, 2018. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31. The official opening night for Disney's THE LION KING is Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Theatre Bay Area, the third-largest regional theatre service organization in North America, announced the finalists for the 2018 TBA Awards. The fifth annual TBA Awards Celebration will be held on Monday, Nov. 5 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco). Tickets for the public go on sale Friday, September 28, 2018, through City Box Office.
