The 2nd Annual 'LOVE,' the Women's Expressive Theater's (WET) most popular benefit event, returned on Monday, February 11, 2008 at Angel Orensanz Foundation.

Michael Riedel of the New York Post reports that acclaimed Broadway director and producer Hal Prince 'suffered what close friends are calling a 'minor stroke' Sunday afternoon. He was released from the hospital Wednesday - his 80th birthday - and is expected to be on the mend soon.'

National tour achieves all the darkness and light of John Doyle's 2005 Tony Award-winning Broadway revival

Ghostlight Records, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, will release the world premiere recording of the Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway musical LoveMusik, which was nominated for four Tony Awards. The production starred Tony Award winners Michael Cerveris and Donna Murphy and featuring the songs of Kurt Weill. The recording, produced by Joel Moss with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer, will be available in stores and online on November 27.

The 2-CD complete soundtrack features bonus content in a specially-packaged deluxe edition with bound booklet. The soundtrack is set for release December 18, 2007 under the Wea/Atlantic/Nonesuch label.

The up-coming Tim Burton movie-musical adaptation of Sweeney Todd will receive an MPAA R-rating due to the amount of violence and gore in the film.

John Doyle, whose Broadway production of Company recently garnered a Tony Award as Best Revival, will return to the work of Stephen Sondheim with a new staging of Sondheim and George Furth's 1981 musical Merrily We Roll Along, using his trademark approach of having actors play the instruments.
