Ancient and Modern Classics to Take the Stage at Citizens Theatre in Spring 2016

?The Citizens Theatre today announces its complete Spring 2016 Season, including a trilogy of new plays by Zinnie Harris, inspired by the epic Greek tragedy The Oresteia. The season also includes a new production of Frank McGuinness' classic play Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of The Somme and a new production of Beckett's iconic play Endgame featuring David Neilson and Chris Gascoyne.

Allenberry Playhouse to Present SLEUTH

Allenberry Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director Ryan Gibbs presents Paul Carlin (Allenberry's Damn Yankees, Goodspeed Musicals Mame) and Kevin Loreque (National Tour Cats, National Tour I Am My Own Wife) in Anthony Shaffer's Tony Award-winning thriller Sleuth, from October 7-31.

Real-Life Husbands Nominated for 2015 LGBT Iris Prize for CHARLIE Film

It was announced today that 'charlie' has been short listed as one of 30 films in competition for the highly coveted Iris Prize, which is the world's biggest award for LGBT short films. The Award will be presented at the International Iris Prize Festival from October 7 - 11, 2015 in Cardiff, Wales.

Austin Film Festival Sets First Round of Films for 2015

Austin Film Festival (AFF), the premier film festival recognizing writers' and filmmakers' contributions to film, television, and new media, announced today the first slate of films included in the 2015 lineup of Festival screenings this October 29-November 5. The complete list of programming at the 22nd annual AFF, including short films, competition titles, and Conference panels, will be announced in mid-September.

PICT Classic Theatre to Present EDUCATING RITA Next Month

Oakland will be bustling this September when the students return to their dormitories to begin a new year of study. During this time, from September 3 through 19, PICT Classic Theatre will present Educating Rita by Willy Russell, which was selected, in part, so that PICT can bid the University of Pittsburgh a fond farewell before leaving the Stephen Foster Memorial in 2016.

Andrea Marcovicci to Make 54 Below Debut with New Show, 11/17-18

Jack to Present Sister Sylvester's THEY ARE GONE BUT HERE I MUST REMAIN, 9/3-19

JACK will present the acclaimed performance collective, Sister Sylvester, with their new work, They Are Gone But Here Must I Remain which will preview on Thursday, September 3rd and  open on Friday, September 4th at JACK (505 1/2 Waverly Ave in Brooklyn). The company's New York premiere will run through September 19th. They Are Gone But Here Must I Remain, a multi-faceted piece, directed by Kathryn Hamilton, examines the ties between art and rebellion. The New York Times chose Sister Sylvester's recent work, Dead Behind These Eyes as a critic's pick and Time Out called their The Maids' The Maids "genuinely subversive." They Are Gone But Here I Must Remain, will be performed September 3rd, open on September  4th and continue September  5th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th at 8PM.
