The series will also feature interviews with celebrities, authors, superfans and everyday Americans discussing the way particular books have influenced them and their significance in American popular culture. Then, after a multi-platform initiative throughout the summer, which will include live public events, social media components and national reading clubs, the series will resume in the fall with several themed episodes, including an exciting finale, culminating in the first-ever national vote to choose 'America's Best-Loved Novel.' It will be the most expansive national celebration of books and reading aimed at engaging multi-generational readers across multiple platforms ever created.
Music Director Janna Hymes has announced that she is stepping down from the music directorship of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra at the end of next season. The conductor, who has led the 57-member orchestra for almost half of its existence, will mark her 15th anniversary at the helm of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra this 2018-19 season, the organization's 35th season.

Theater is a business built on fantasy. We attend productions with suspended disbelief in an effort to step into a world different than our own, and yet, some of the most groundbreaking theatrical works are grounded in historical reference. Some of these shows are on my list of personal favorites, and some get added later, including BDT Stage's latest production, Always…Patsy Cline.
