The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center , announces that multi-discipline creative artist Lin-Manuel Miranda will receive the 18th Monte Cristo Award . An alumnus of the O'Neill, Miranda's first professional production was at the O'Neill's National Music Theater Conference with In The Heights in 2005. A gala dinner featuring a conversation with the honoree will be held at the Edison Ballroom (New York) on Monday, April 30, 2018.

TimesTalks is pleased to present live iterations of two popular New York Times columns and a podcast at the first TimesTalks Festival, from April 13th - 15th. Corner Office, Table for Three, and The Daily podcast will be brought to life at the weekend-long festival, which will feature a wide range of panels and events at TheTimesCenter, located in the Renzo Piano-designed New York Times Building.
For the next month or so, I'll be memorizing lines and living from rehearsal to rehearsal. I'll be collaborating with actors older than me, actors with countless years of experience under their belt. I'll be digging deep into three original one-acts and studying videos of goth girls, Sheldon Cooper, and Zooey Deschanel to help me step into the shoes of my respective characters. And if I'm honest, I'm a little nervous.
