Little House On The Prairie, The Musical, a new musical based on the beloved Laura Ingalls Wilder series of classic American books, will arrive on April 28, 2010 at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts presented by Theatre Under The Stars.

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, the new musical based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved series of classic American books, is now enjoying a celebrated 26-city tour throughout the U.S. and Canada. Last week, during its two-week engagement at the California Musical Theatre in Sacramento, the cast got a special visit from some of Melissa Gilbert's co-stars from the original 'Little House' TV series.

The California Musical Theatre presentation of the national tour of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, THE MUSICAL open at the Community Center Theater on Wednesday, April 14 for a two-week engagement. The national tour stops in Sacramento April 14-25.

This build is part of a nationwide effort between Habitat for Humanity International and Little House on the Prairie to raise awareness about the need for affordable housing. Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle proclaimed January 19, 2010 as "Laura Ingalls Wilder Day" in honor of the Wisconsin-born author of the famed "Little House" books. Later this evening, Little House on the Prairie, The Musical starring Melissa Gilbert will open in Overture Hall inside Overture Center for the Arts. The touring musical will also make a stop at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton March 23-28.
